By wee folk I am not talking children.
It's beginning to look a lot like St. Patrick's Day in Central Ohio. Some communities more than others.
The Dublin Ohio St. Patrick's Day celebrations are on Saturday March 14,2009.
If Irish is an attitude, Dublin does it well
Columbus - downtown
Celebrating St. Patrick's Day in Central Ohio
The traditional Columbus celebrations including the St. Patrick's Day Parade and the Irish Family Reunion are on St. Patrick's Day, Tuesday March 17, 2009, of course.
Worthington Wee Folk have their own door in Old Worthington. The Leprechaun Entrance shown here is right next to the door for the rest of us at PK O'Ryans Irish Pub in Worthington
The Leprechaun entrance is at the Irish Pub in Worthington year round.

GOOD MORNING MAUREEN! Does the door really open?! I love to see things that show so much pride - in whatever it is someone is proud of! -- Gabrielle
I don't know!!! I wondered when I posted this. I doubt it. I took the photo last fall and have been looking for it since.... For a number of years I did not notice it. A Realtor friend pointed it out to me...
I wondered the same thing as Gaby. It's adorable. I love whimsy. The world needs more of it.
Whimsy what a great word.
I like whimsy when I see it... It is often right under my nose and I miss it.
Fun Picture ! I like towns who make smiley features like this ! Thanks Maureen !
I don't think Worthington is usually very whimsical (to use Maggie's description) or has many smiley features to use yours. Architectural Review and having the LOOK is very important in Worthington. Maybe that makes something like this all the more interesting. It is tucked in on the side of the building, at the entrance to the pub... whether it would have been allowed on the front of the building??? I don't think there probably is room on the front for a Leprechaun door and possibley they are so shy the side is a better spot for it.
I was on High St. in Worthington in search of Whimsy this AM.... No luck so I went to Clintonville in the City of Columbus... you can find whimsy in Clintonville.
Hi Maureen... I like it. It makes me grin and probably makes it eaiser to spot leprechauns who are dipping into the pot o' gold to buy a pint of ale!
