Worthington Farmers Market - June 9, 2012

The Worthington Farmers Market on June 9, 2012 is part of a Farmer's Market Hop!

May 2012 Worthington Farmers Market

I believe the Farmer's Market Hop is a first time event in central Ohio.  Eventbrite says:

"From the North Market to Clintonville to Worthington and markets in between… this is the hop for anyone who wants to improve their food health while promoting local businesses and farmers.

AND… your celebrity host Tricia Wheeler, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Edible Columbus, will serve as your guide to all the best secrets of each market."

I have another commitment Saturday morning so can not go on this tour... someone tell me the best secrets of the Worthington Farmer's Market? Please!

The Farmers (or Farmer's) Market Hop starts at the North Market, then visits the Clintonville Market and "last the best"  the Worthington at the end?   Are there secret markets in between?

House Wine in Worthington is involved in the Farmers Market Hop.  On Facebook page this morning House Wine said:

"we look forward to hosting Food Hop and Edible Columbus editor Tricia Wheeler during their tour of our market and others around town"

My photos are from May, Worthington is more green now  and the fresh produce is coming in earlier this year with all the warm weather.

I have never heard of an event like this but it sounds like fun. I bet it will become an annual event.

We are a pretty big foodie market.  I assumed this was a tour done by Columbus Food Adventures.   Columbus Food Adventures has been around a couple of years(?) now I believe.  I went on one last summer. Columbus Food Adventures does desert tours, taco truck tours, ethnic food tours (alt.eat) and they do tours of some of our neighborhoods, German Village and the Short North.

I could not find this on their site when I looked earlier this week... Duh.   It turns out we have a second company doing the same thing, they are doing food "Hops."

I have not been paying attention!
