Worthington: Last Farmer's Market of the Season

Tomorrow is the last farmers market of the summer season in Worthington.

Worthington Farmers Market Worthington Inn - October 2011

No pretty leaves on the trees in this photo from the October 22, 2011 Worthington Farmers Market but look at the pretty October sky?  Let's have sunshine and blue skies tomorrow please for the last farmer's market of the summer seaon in Worthington, Ohio.

The "Olde Worthington Summer Farmers Market" a page on the Olde Worthington Business Association's website says:

"The Olde Worthington summer farmers market was established in 1987 and is one of the largest and most respected markets in Ohio.  Over 70 vendors participate in the market which is held in downtown Worthington on Saturday mornings from 9-noon."

There is another page on the Olde Worthington Business Association's website for the Olde Worthington Winter Farmers Market, but it looks to me like that is not update for the 2011-2012 winter farmers market season yet. Last year there was one Olde Worthington Winter Farmers Market in November and another in December.  After the first of the year it looks like the Olde Worthington Winter Farmers Market at the Griswold Center was every Saturday.  Cabin fever time, January, February, March....  for information about either the summer or winter market they are on Twitter and Facebook in addition to their website.   Michele Burke Mooney is the market manager.

I love farmers markets, but here in Albuquerque we leave the coats at home.

Me too... I love Farmers Markets. Our Renton market ended the first of October. The weather gets pretty unpredictable (which equates to a high likelyhood of rain)... I love Fall, yet it's farewell to summer when the market is over. Hoping you get sunshine in Worthington today. Enjoy!

I bought three itty bitty pumpkins, a squash, tomatoes, green peppers, 2 osage oranges and two bunches of beets. I think that was it.

Beautiful weather this morning but it is getting gray now.  I think there are photos on Columbus Life (on Posterous) ... and my Foursquare of the Farmers Market today. It was pretty warm really but I am glad I had a light fleece jacket.  Fall is some of our clearest weather,  I think September and October are some of our months with the least precipitation and most sunshine usually.

It is starting to rain.  ; - (  we are on the northwest edge of the rain / snow that is happening on the east coast today...

Maureen, I guess I got so much to living in Florida, that for a second i thought "Why is it the last day". Ours run year round.

I know that fall may be wonderful, but I am not yet feeling nostalgia. maybe it will come.
