5 Walkable Worthington Neighborhoods

Walkable Worthington Neighborhoods -   Here are Five City of Worthington's neighborhoods that have a good Walk Score.  Where would you want to walk to in Worthington?  Stores, restaurants, schools. events....

Are you familiar with Walk Score?  Our new Real Living HER websites (mine is MaureenMcCabe.com ) have the Walk Score for each and every listing in the MLS.

High St. Old Worthington

There are two business districts in the City of Worthington basically, Old Worthington (or Olde Worthington) and the Wilson Bridge corridor and the Worthington Square Mall in particular.  How accessible are these five neighborhoods to one or the other?

5 Walkable Worthington Neighborhoods according to Walk Score!

Kilbourne Village home  - Walk Score 65

More about the Kilbourne Village neighborhood  (but not much more...)  The school children in Kilbourne Village attend grade school at Evening Street School.

Old Worthington home - Walk Score 80

More about the Old Worthington neighborhood including downtown Worthington and some Worthington history.  The school children in Old Worthington go to either Evening Street Elementary School or Wilson Hill.  The Worthington City School District Website has a map and a list by street.

Wilson Hills home - Walk Score 52

More about the Wilson Hills neighborhood   where children attend Wilson Hill Elementary School.

Colonial Hills home  - Walk Score 58

More about the Colonial Hills neighborhood where children attend the Colonial Hills Elementary School.

Worthington Estates home - Walk Score 55Worthington Estates Elementary School

More about the Worthington Estates neighborhood. Children in the Worthington Estates subdivision attend school at the Worthington Estates Elementary school.  Children in Worthington Estates East attend school in the Wilson Hill Elementary School.   Worthington Estates and Worthington Estates East are two different neighborhoods.

Kilbourne Middle School The five walkable Worthington neighborhoods are in no particular order. I used a random home for sale in each neighborhood as a Walk Score.  Each address has a Walk Score.  Homes that are not for sale have a Walk Score.   Worthington is a lot more walkable than much of Central Ohio.  Worthington is a lot more walkable than many of the suburbs.  Many of the City of Columbus neighborhoods in Worthington schools are a lot less walkable than neighborhoods in the City of Worthington.

Attendance areas within any school district can change based on population changes.  If a particular school is important double check what schools a home attends currently. Worthington has a map that shows attendance by address and a list by streets.

The Worthington City School District is much larger than the City of Worthington.  A lot of neighborhoods outside of 270 and west of Olentangy River Rd. have lower walk scores and are considered "car dependent."
