I always feel bad when I look at Riverlea on the Walk Score website because I sold a house to a couple who are walkers a few years back.... I met them at an open house in Old Worthington and we talked about neighborhoods. I suggested Riverlea. Leaving my open house I drove through Riverlea and saw them walking.
I talked to them on the phone a few days later and they said they did not like Riverlea. Yet when it came time to look they looked at homes in Worthington, Clintonville and Riverlea. To make a long story short she came to town in the summer and fell in love with a Riverlea home very close to the Olentany River. The closer you get to the river the longer the walk up to High Street.. or would you meander north along the Olentangy Blvd. and then through Worthington residential areas and then walk east until you hit the shops, post office, banks and restaurants on High Street ?
Their purchase was before modern conveniences like Walk Score. They just hiked up to La Chatelaine, the Worthington Inn, Scottie MacBean from Riverlea to see how that worked for them.

It is however about a quarter mile further to the liquor store at Sharon Square (first listing under stores for both Riverlea addresses...) trade offs...
Walk Score considers most of the City of Worthington and the Clintonville area very walkable...
Riverlea is a Village surrounded by the City of Worthington on three sides and the Olentangy River on the west. Riverlea is in the Worthington School District (as are a number of homes in Sharon and Perry Township and the City of Columbus.) The Village is serviced by Worthington police and fire.
