Worthington will celebrate Arbor Day on Friday April 24, 2009 at the Village Green. At noon a tree will be
planted on the northwest quadrant of the Village Green, in honor of Arbor Day 2009..

Probably a good idea if we all did some tree planting....enviromentally speaking...I am investigating

some fast growing pines...we planted a dozen that were 7 ut 8 years feet high about 8 years ago and must be 30 feet by now.....come and see 'em...we'll leave the light on and welcome mat out !

I woud love to plant a tree.......we lost a beautiful yoshino cherry last from a drought a couple of years ago and I would like to replace it.

I remember back in the day we would plant trees every Arbor day (1970's)...or should I say "sticks" that is what they looked like....I think I will go get one and plant one for Arbor day this year....peace zane

Ann I would guess Alabama has an earlier Arbor Day than we do, in the midwest... I think tomorrow is Arbor Day for  the majority of states.

Zane you can join the Arbor Day organizations and get 10 free trees I am sure they are Twigs....

Wisconsin Ladies:

Tree City USA Waukesha is a "Tree City USA,"  Brookfield is, New Berlin is... there are 173 "Tree City USA" cities in Wisconsin.

National Arbor Day is tomorrow...  not all states have it the same time though because of planting schedules but it is observed in OH, MI, WI, MN, IN, VA, DE, PAon  the 4th Friday in April....  West Virginia and Kentucky had theirs earlier this month...  real far south much earlier in the year... I  

There are 249 Tree City USA communities in Ohio...
