The Worthington homes for sale and sold in May 2010 were in neighborhoods in Worthington, Riverlea, Columbus and unincorporated areas.   There were homes for sale and sold in May 2010 in Brookside Estates, Brookside Woods, Colonial Hills,  Olde Sawmill, Olentangy Highlands, Summerwood, Western Hills, Worthington Hills,  Worthingview, Worthingwoods and many more Worthington area neighborhoods... there were sales in Riverlea. Riverlea is too small for neighborhoods but it is not a neighborhood, it is a separate village.

Home sales in the entire US were subject to a home buyers tax credit as long as the qualified buyer had the home in contract by April 30, 2010.  The red line is pended sales.  I try not to pay attention to pended sales.  This month and last that is tough.  I think there is a lag so it is not dependable info.

Worthington home sales were up 34.1% in the month of April 2010, from April 2009.  The graph shows homes for sale and homes sold for the past 15 months, for single family homes in Worthington schools. The Worthington City School District  includes neighborhoods in Worthington, Columbus, the Village of Riverlea, Perry Township and Sharon Township. 

The red line shows "sales pending"  see info below about sale pending.  I usually would not show it but because of the April 30, 2010 deadline for buyers to have homes in contract I am interested.  I don't necessarily believe it is accurate.  The pended sales were down 43.9% in comparison to April 2009.

Home sales in neighborhoods in unincorporated areas in the Worthington City School District including Brookside Estates and Worthington Hills.

Home sales in Worthington as in the entire US were subject to a home buyers tax credit as long as the qualified buyer had the home in contract by April 30, 2010.  The pended sales were down 43.9% in comparison to April 20009.  Personally I think sales were not turned in and that will go up by the time the Columbus Board of REALTORS releases numbers later in the month.

The graph shows City of Worthington and Village of Riverlea home sales combined... the graph shows homes for sale and sold for the past 15 months for  MLS area for the City of Worthington for the Columbus Board of REALTORS® (MLS areas disappear soon!)  The properties represented by this graph are  single family homes.The 183% increase over March 2009 is probably due to the end of the tax credits for buyers in April

The graph shows homes for sale and sold for the past 15 months through March 2010.  The graph is for single family homes in the Worthington City School District.   Comparing March 2010 with March 2009 home sales in Worthington schools were up 66.7% over a year ago...  The homes in the Worthington City School District are in Worthington, Columbus, Riverlea and Sharon or Perry Townships. 

The home buyer tax credits are certainly a factor in the increased home sales.

90 homes is the highest number of homes sold in the area since August 2008.

City of Worthington, there were homes sold in Colonial Hills, Davis Estates, Dupre Heights, Hidden Colony, Kilbourne Village, Old Worthington, Olentangy Hills, Worthingville, Worthinway, Worthington Estates, Worthington Park and more.

At least one home in the Village of Riverlea closed in September 2009.

Homes in City of  Columbus neighborhoods or homes in unicorporated areas within the Worthington School District included sales in Brookside Estates, Olde Sawmill, Ravines at Deercreek, Ravines at Worthington, Summerwood,  Smoky Ridge Estates,  Western Hills, Woodbridge Green,  Worthington Crossing, Worthington Trace, Worthington Woods and other neighborhods.  These neighborhoods are in the Worthington School District but not in the Ciyt of Worthington or the Village of Riverlea.
