The second helpful hint in the book 101 Ways to Prepare Your Home for Sale is:
2. If there are flowers planted by the mailbox, make sure they are as fresh as possible.
We have not had a real frost yet this year.... at least in my part of Central Ohio... maybe they have out further. We will soon then all the impatiens, petunias, daisies, geraniums at the mailbox will be a wet black mess.
Flowers that looked so gorgeous in the war, humid summer.... well not so much this past summer...
I was impressed with the price on this gorgeous, huge mums at the Columbus Italian Festival last weekend. Every year they have huge mums at a great price.... maybe because even though they are a gorgeous hardy flower their days are numbered too.
