The NEW "Old Worthington" HER office is opening in "early August"

The Real Living HER sign is up. The photo of the new sign on High Street in Old Worthington was taken about 10 days ago.
Sounds like the Worthington HER office in Old Worthington is opening in early August. The press release we (agents in the Worthington and Lewis Center offices) and the press were sent today tells us so...I go by the building at 681 High Street to check the progress every week or so. I have never before (I don't believe) shared a press release in a blog post but it's always fun to do something NEW....

Real Living HER Expands with Two New Offices in Worthington and Lewis Center
Columbus, OH - Today Real Living HER, central Ohio’s largest real estate brokerage, announced two new offices in the Worthington/Lewis Center area to continue the company’s expansion strategy. First of the two is the newly-opened Lewis Center Office on State Route 23 near Powell Road, and the second, opening in early August, is in the “old town” business district of Worthington on High Street.
Worthington District Sales Manager Tom Holcombe, who oversees the Worthington area, will manage the Lewis Center office and newly-appointed Gloria Alonso Cannon has been named the Associate Manager of the new “old town” Worthington office.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for HER to continue our expansion strategy while many of our competitors are contracting,” said Bob Case, North Central Regional Vice President for HER. “Lewis Center is one of the fastest growing regions in the nation and the ‘old town’ area is perfect for our neighborhood and family approach to real estate and Gloria will bring a long track record of real estate successes with her.”
Cannon has been a licensed real estate agent for 15 years and has held numerous leadership positions with the Columbus Board of Realtors, the Ohio Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, including OAR Executive Committee member, 2011 OAR Convention Vice Chair, 2012 OAR Convention Chair, CBR Past Director, CBR Standard Forms Committee Chair, CBR Advisory Board for the Leadership Academy and NAR Land Use Committee member.
“Worthington is such a vibrant and historic community in central Ohio, and I am greatly looking forward to becoming part of the ‘old town’ area with this new neighborhood office, and to working with local civic leaders, business owners and professionals,” said Cannon.
“HER’s real estate search tools and technologies are the absolute best in the industry, and when you combine that with our roster of top-performing associates, long legacy of community service in central Ohio and these great new locations , the possibilities are endless!” said Holcombe.
End of the Press Release from Real Living HER
This office has been open since April. Some of the agents who were in the Worthington HER office at 6902 N. High St. Worthington, Ohio have permanently moved to Real Living HER in Lewis Center.
A Moving Experience Worthington Real Living HER
Real Living HER has been in Worthington for years. The building at 6902 N. High Street was the HER Worthington office since the 1970s. The 6902 N. High St. office was the second HER office in Worthington.
The "old" HER Worthington, the bi-level building at 6902 N. High Street no longer exists.
The move to Old Worthington for the Real Living HER office was officially announced in February 2011. Of course we (agents with Real Living HER, the company formerly known as HER Realtors) knew we were moving long before that, Old Worthington real estate office.
Old Worthington
The Old Worthington neighborhood is the original Village of Worthington established by settlers from New England in 1803. The settlers including James Kilbourne planned the Village of Worthington before their arrival in the middle of Ohio in 1803. The vibrant business district at the center of Old Worthington includes the Kilbourne Commercial Building, which will house the Worthington HER office in "early August." The Kilbourne Commercial Building at 681 High Street was the Curio Cabinet, a store most recently. The awnings still say "The Curio Cabinet."
